Hua Hin is a great getaway from Bangkok for those looking for a change of pace. Here are some reasons why Hua Hin is different from its big brother, Pattaya and why it's worth a visit to Hua Hin:

  1. Beautiful beaches that you want to relax at: Hua Hin is home to some of the most incredible beaches in Thailand, with dreamy stretches of white sandy shore that are perfect for sunbathing and swimming. The beaches here are just more picturesque and natural with rocks flowing in and out and lush green foothills all around.

  2. Old world charm: Hua Hin is a holiday resort with an old world charm, making it a great destination for those looking for a more relaxed and laid-back atmosphere.

  3. Great deals: If you're looking for great deals on accommodations and activities, visiting Hua Hin during the low season (May to October) is a good time to visit. You'll find 500 to 1000 Baht hotels or guest houses (your own room / bathroom) pretty close to the beach. This is similar to Pattaya but the difference is the water is so much better

  4. Peaceful town: Hua Hin is a beautiful, peaceful town far from the hustle and bustle of the city, making it a great destination for those looking for a more tranquil getaway.

  5. Traffic is rarely seen except on the main road around 5pm for brief periods of time. If you have a motorbike you can get around even faster as most locations are no more than 15 minutes away

  6. You can actually swim in decently clean water unlike Pattaya. Pattaya is dirty and you'll definitely be shaking your head looking at the less inviting Pattaya brown water.

  7. Low Key Nightlife: Yes there is some lively nightlife in this city but if you compare it to the in your face entertainment and densely packed high rises of Pattaya its a nice change

Overall, Hua Hin offers a different experience from Pattaya, with its beautiful beaches, upscale areas, old world charm, and peaceful atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a relaxing beach vacation or a more active getaway, Hua Hin has something to offer for everyone.
