The views never get old and its plenty safe to walk around the town during the day especially. I took a stroll with my tour guide through a nearby market and found a lot of interesting pieces and handmade souvenirs.
There is something so surreal and distinct about the landscapes here. From dry arid sand dunes to watery lush green reeds and palm trees. One moment you are seeing vivid green then next its a sandy brown brick shelters and foothills.
Directly across from the Cataract hotel is a epic view of small stone buidings, endless desert mountains and sail boats making their way up and down the river.
The beauty here lies with an amazing geographical divide between a flowing river, endless sand dunes, bright lush green vegetation off the river and an intricate boulder fields that your boat will navigate. This was on the way to the Nubian Village
