I always had an idea I wanted to travel but didn't know exactly where to start until I signed up for a study abroad program in England.
Soon after that I began traveling more and my next step was boarding a plane for Thailand and becoming a teacher. I paid for a TEFL course and before I knew it I was teaching English horribly but with time I got better.
A year later I bought Xmas gifts and before I could even figure it out people showed interest in buying scarves and accessories. By the next year, my company, Barrett Imports (barrettimports1.com) was underway. We initially only did retail selling but eventually got into wholesale events in Las Vegas and Atlanta.
So for the last 8 years I've spent half my time overseas teaching and buying products and the other half in the US.
